Ovulation Induction

What is it?

An oral medication called Letrozole is commonly used to help patients ovulate. This medication is typically taken from cycle day 3 to cycle day 7 (with cycle day 1 being the first day of your period). After you have taken this medication for 5 days we will schedule cycle monitoring appointments where we perform blood work and ultrasound to monitor your ovaries for follicular growth and predict when ovulation will occur.

  • Patients with irregular menstrual cycles

  • Patients who do not ovulate

  • Patients with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome)

Who is this for?

What is the cost?

Letrozole may be covered under private drug insurance plans. It can cost between $60-$100 per month otherwise.
