2SLGBTQI+ Family Building

Everyone should feel empowered to build their family in the way they feel is best for them.

We welcome everyone to come for an initial consultation with one of our physicians to learn about all treatment options that are available. Such options can include reciprocal IVF, use of donor eggs or donor sperm, or with a gestational carrier (also known as surrogacy). After your initial consultation we can perform investigations to look at egg reserve or sperm quality so you can make a fully informed decision on what the best treatment option is for you. More information on all of these treatment options are also available on our website.

Our partnership with Markham Fertility allows our patients access to one of the most experienced Donor and Surrogacy programs. In addition to meeting with a Dream Physician, we encourage patients to also meet with the Donor and Surrogacy team at Markham Fertility to have a deep dive into logistics, costs, and resources available.

Reciprocal IVF

Reciprocal IVF is a treatment option for couples with lesbians or transmen. One partner supplies the eggs used in the lab to create embryos, and the other partner undergoes an embryo transfer into their uterus to carry the pregnancy. Patients choose this treatment option as it allows both partners to be intimately involved in the creation of their child with one partner being the genetic parent and the other being the birth parent.
